I’m thinking about getting a masters degree online. Problem is I was a C student in college. Am I out of luck?

No, you are not out of luck. There are plenty of schools that have online degree programs that might accept you. It depends which field of study for your degree and it depends upon the requirements of the school. For example, a business school may require a certain score on a GMAT exam combined with your undergraduate GPA. The lower the undergraduate GPA, the higher the score on the GMAT required for unconditional entrance into the MBA program. Basically, search for programs in which you are interested and then apply. If you are rejected, ask why and ask if you can improve your chances. If that school says no way, then try the next best school. There will be legitimate schools that will accept you, you just have to try.
